Atlanta, Georgia’s Whores have been building a groundswell of support over the course of two releases, 2011’s Ruiner and 2013’s Clean, establishing themselves with their intense, noisy, hardcore-fueled sound. For those in the know (and for those who are intrigued), the trio entered Parhelion Studios with producer Ryan Boesch this week to record their next LP, due out later this year on eOne Music.
“We’ve been working on writing an oppressively heavy record for the last few months here in ATL,” says frontman Christian Lembach in a release from the band. “I think I’ve chained together like a thousand fuzz pedals at this point. Our homie who recorded Clean, Ryan Boesch (Melvins, Helmet, Fu Manchu, Foo Fighters, etc.), will be manning the helm for us again for the new one, and we’re SO ready to blast super hard. Tons of crummy Instagram videos to follow!”
Keep your eyes peeled for updates from the Whores camp as they work on this as-yet-untitled release. In the meantime, check out some live Whores in the form of a full set of music from St. Vitus Bar in New York City from March 28, 2014.
