Vinnie Paul drummer of Pantera/HELLYEAH was interviewed by Cindy Scull of Dallas/Fort Worth radio station 97.1 the Eagle on his birthday last Sunday (March 11) and talked about what’s going on with him and HELLYEAH and all the projects he’s working on.
In the first part of a two part chat Vinnie talks to DJ Cindy Scull about Motley Crue, his the new HELLYEAH record, Band of Brothers which comes out June 5th on Eleven Seven Records and the upcoming HELLYEAH shows including a warm up tour with Clutch starting April 13th. Vinnie also talks about his brother Dimebag Darrell and how much he misses him.
In Part 2, Vinnie talks about all the rumors cicrulating about a Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde. Vinnie said:
“I spent two hours with Zakk, sitting down, a really great talk about, he calls him ‘the old man,’ Ozzy. I mean, him and my brother were so tight. If it ever were to happen, he would be the guy. But I honestly think, out of respect for my brother, I think we should just leave the 14 amazing years Pantera had be.”
Vinnie also talked about the 20th Anniversary of Vulgar Display of Power which will be released May 15th. Fans can expect a deluxe edition of the remastered album which includes a previously unreleased song “PISS” and a DVD that will feature six songs live in Italy as well as the three official Pantera music videos.
