Tuska Announces More Bands, Official After Parties & New Festival Services

The 20th anniversary of Tuska Open Air Metal Festival is looking to be a pretty damn good time and the party is only getting bigger!  Tuska Open Air Metal Festival has announced more bands and some of the official after-parties!

The new bands on the bill are Sweden’s LIK, and Finland’s Huora and Amendfoil.  I am not familiar with any of them but like last year, I plan to spend some time listening to all the bands on the lineup to see who is best to take photos of for you guys!

Festival Services

Tuska‘s festival area has been growing year by year and this year there is going to be even more to participate in than just banging your head by the stages!

Tuska Open Air Metal FestivalBlack Dining is back but will be in a bigger space.  For those of you who didn’t experience it last time, imagine a fine-dining experience inside a festival where the food is black.  Yup.

Some other returning features of the festival grounds will be the cocktail bar, champaign bar, Alepa store, Bio Luvil Black festival laundry (for when you piss yourself because you didn’t want to lose your spot by the front of the stage) and theEMP signing sessions.  Keltainen Jäänsärkijä will be the on-site record store.  There was no mention of the smoke sauna and personally I have been trying to find the time to jump in there the last couple of years and haven’t made it.  This year it is on my priorities list so I hope it’s back!

There are some new features this year also.  Rottanaama Beer Bingo!  Beer and bingo, “hosted by two motor mouth punks: a recipe for success.”  I mean, what says ‘metal festival’ like the past time of retirees?  I hope it’s better than it sounds on paper…  There’s also this new Tulinen Grillialue bbq area.  It’s sponsored by a mustard company, Turun Sinappia. It sounds good to me cuz I like spicy shit!

Official After Parties

To be honest, last year after Tuska I spent a lot of time at the unofficial after-parties, but this year there are some bands not to miss!

The official after-parties are at Virgin Oil co. on Friday 30th of June and Saturday 1st of July and only cost ten bucks.  Don’t be fucking stupid.  Go to the after parties!
