TRIUNITY, ALBUM REVIEW – THREE BAND PROJECT: OPRICH, PIAREVARACIEN &CHUR

TriunityTriunity is a release of  three bands from different parts of eastern Europe; Russia (Oprich), Belarus (PIAREVARACIEN) and the Ukraine (Chur).  Each band has 3 songs. The genre listed on the promo is Pagan/Metal so I thought what the hell-gotta be cool.

Oprich starts off.  I don’t quite know what to think here-there are some cool metal riffs-but it seems to me they are buried behind some very odd vocals and a wind instruments.  Odd….

Piarevaracien is up next and it’s the same type of deal; folky sounding songs with vocals in their native language.  The flute like instrument is present here also.  Odd also… I don’t get it.

Chur is last.  There are metal riffs present, but chanting and the monotone odd vocals are present here also.

I don’t know what to think here.  I couldn’t get into this at all.  If you live in these areas of the world or can appreciate and speak these languages you may get this.  I don’t see this ever getting out of there however.
