The iconic Judas Priest is wrapping up their “Redeemer Of Souls” tour next week in the States, and what a tour it’s been! As you read in my review of the Brooklyn gig, and saw through our exclusive photos from Georgia, they are still putting on one of the best live shows around, and the new material sounds amazing live! Richie Faulkner has definitely added a new energy and spirit to the guys, and it seems like they aren’t done just yet!
When asked about the current mood of the band, Rob Halford recently said this on Eddie Trunk‘s “Trunk Nation” show on SiriusXM’s Hair Nation, “I go into the dressing room every night, and Richie’s jamming; that guy never stops playing his guitar. And I walk in, and I go, ‘What are you playing now?’ ‘I don’t know.’ And I tell him ‘Put that down in your iPhone right now.’ And he gets his iPhone and puts it down. He’s been doing that all the way through the ‘Redeemer Of Souls’ tour. So what I’m saying is the riffs are already piling up, the ideas are already piling up. I’m ready to go. I’m ready to make a JUDAS PRIEST record.”
Holy shit! “Redeemer Of Souls” is such a phenomenal record, and to think that we could have more new music from the legends in the future is beyond exciting! Let’s hope that this really happens!
