New Orchestral Winds Of Plague New Record Is Almost Done

It’s no small statement by Johnny Plague to say, “After 10 years of music I finally feel I’m going to get the WOP record I’ve always wanted.”  That’s what’s happening right now in the Winds of Plague world.  The band is particularly brutal as we all know so I am excited to see how they put things together with the orchestra and also how Johnny’s vocals have improved with work from his producers.

Here is Johnny Plague’s full statement on the current status of the record:

“I wanted to take a minute from the craziness of life, shoot a quick update on the record status, and thank everyone for their patience.

We are putting the finishing touches on the record: working in the epic orchestral arrangements. I couldn’t be happier with how it’s coming together.

It is proving to be everything I could ever want in a WOP record. What stands out to me so far is how seamlessly we are able to blend the many elements that create the signature WOP sound through solid song craftsmanship, fast black metal riffs, crushing breakdowns and over the top orchestra production.

Another huge milestone this record is setting in my opinion is my vocal performance. Producers Noah Sebastian and Joakim Karlsson really pushed and helped me to find new vocal tones and ranges I didn’t even know I was capable of.

After 10 years of music I finally feel I’m going to get the WOP record I’ve always wanted and I know the fans will feel the wait was worth it.

Now, back to work.

–Johnny“
