The awesome dudes in Monster Truck will be releasing “Sittin’ Heavy” tomorrow via Dine Alone Records, and they honored New York by playing an electrifying record release show last night at Saint Vitus Bar. As with every time I see a band for the first time, I was kind of hesitant because I love their music so much and was hoping for the same power live, and they did not disappoint. After the first few notes hit the speakers, I was sold and in absolute heaven as they performed with unyielding heart and passion like I’ve never seen before. The energy in the room was overwhelming at times, because the fans held on to every word and chord they played, and the new stuff got a HUGE reception, because why wouldn’t it? It’s as real as it gets today. From the riffs to the keys to the drums to the vocals, this band simply has it all, and their execution was absolutely flawless. As I’ve said before, I only recently got into this group, but holy hell, Monster Truck is the truth, and they proved it last night in Brooklyn! I’m a fan for life!
Check out our exclusive photos from Saint Vitus Bar by Max R. Sequeira below, and be sure to pick up “Sittin’ Heavy” tomorrow! As you heard in the album stream, and as I’ve said many times on this site already, this band is bringing back the good ol’ days of rock ‘n’ roll, and I can’t get enough of it!
