MISGUIDED AGGRESSION, “FLOOD THE COMMON GROUND” ALBUM REVIEW!

Misguided Aggression-Flood the Common Ground

I was immediately taken aback when the riffs of Winter Soldier hit me-Misguided Aggression have a statement to make and will do you very much bodily harm while making it!  This quintet, hailing from Ontario, is here to MAKE you rip your spine out while in the pit.  This album is awesomely precise and extremely well produced.  Every song is well written and has it’s own personality.  I really hear the influences of a ton of different bands-including Meshuggah, Lamb of God, and Devildriver.  I also hear a bit of Pantera here and there-especially in the song Autonomy.  The title track, Flood the Common Ground, is by far my favorite and ends the LP well with smoking riffs and very cool unique drum sounds.

Vocalist Rob Demedeiros has the ability to sing as deep and guttural as Satan himself-but then can lay back and grind his voice with the best of them as well.  Guitarists Randy Allcock and Ben Dobson SHRED throughout the entire album and NEVER show any mercy.  Trust me-you will here more from these guys in the future.  I highly recommend this album – and it’s free on their website!
