We celebrated the 30th Anniversary of “Master Of Puppets” earlier this month, but the classic record has just received another HUGE honor from the Library of Congress! In case you didn’t know, under the terms of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000, the Librarian of Congress, with advice from the National Recording Preservation Board, selects 25 recordings each year to be preserved. They must be “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” and at least 10 years old. According to Billboard.com, this year Metallica‘s “Master Of Puppets” has made the list! So now the greatest metal album of all time will truly live on forever, and the Library of Congress approves!
