As we all remember from last year, the members of Baroness were involved in a devastating bus accident in the U.K. The guys suffered serious injuries, but are slowly making their way back to full health today. Unfortunately, their medical bills are through the roof, as you can imagine. So what do we do when someone in our metal family needs help? We come together and help out in anyway possible! The Baroness Relief is a PRIME example of that! Members of Meshuggah, Mastodon, Neurosis and many other metal artists have donated rare items from their catalog in order to raise money to help out the Baroness boys with their massive bills. Items include signed drums, symbals, vinyls, artwork and much, much more! These are rare treasures and all of the money goes to help out some of the best dudes on the planet! Help out if you can! The auction will starts in the next few weeks!
The organizers left this statement: ” In August last year Baroness’s bus crashed off a bridge, seriously injuring band members and crew. A month later Loopy Fiasco (Baroness sound engineer), Rennie Jaffe (Manager of Relapse Records) and myself (Baroness web dude) set out as friends of the band to do whatever we could to eleviate the band of their medical expenses and loss of income in their time of pain and journey back to being able to play again. We reached out to our close friends, to donate items so we could auction them off to relieve the band of as much financial hurt as possible. Also if you could put the word out to likeminded fans, that would be awesome. We appreciate all the help you guys can give to this cause to see the boys back in good health and back out on the road.”
