We are one week away! Opeth will be releasing “Pale Communion” on August 26th via Roadrunner Records, and while some of the old school fans may still be upset about the lack of screams and riffs, it’s still an exceptional album in my mind. It picks up right were “Harvest” left off, adds in some new vocal ranges, keyboard techniques and more guitar progression, and it’s a masterful listen from beginning to the end. No, it’s not as heavy as their classics, but the music is still incredibly well written, and you can truly get lost in the songs. I commend Opeth on taking chances, and I’m still a die hard fan! They can do no wrong!
Do you want to hear it already? Can’t wait until next week? Thanks to Pitchfork, you don’t have to! The album is streaming in it’s entirety a week before it’s release, and you should all listen to this now! Why are you still here?
