The iconic Judas Priest returned to Brooklyn last night on their “Redeemer Of Souls” tour and put on an amazing show! As the lights went out, and their historic logo came up on the curtain, the roar from the packed arena was probably heard all across the city. As the curtain dropped, and “Dragonaut” kicked in, you could tell right away that this was going to be a massive set. Judas Priest hit the stage running and did not stop for almost two hours. With a mixture of new and old songs, the set list was almost too good to be true, and their performance on stage was just spectacular. As always, Rob Halford commanded the stage like only he can, and with the four members behind him playing to perfection, it was a monumental set, and a quick reminder of why these men are Gods in our eyes. To have been doing this for over forty years, they still put on of the best shows around, and this time they needed no lasers or explosions. It was just the five legends on stage, playing classic after classic, and leaving every fan wanting more after it was all said and done. As we all left the arena, with what little voices we had left, you could tell that the icons delivered on all levels. From the fans yelling “Priest!” to the smiles across the crowd, Judas Priest came and conquered Brooklyn, and I can’t wait for their return. It was simply heavy metal at it’s finest.
