Fleshgod Apocalypse are an Italian band that create some really unique music. I have heard of the band many times but have never had the chance to see them live – until now! Being somewhat unfamiliar with their music, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. In addition to the standard guitars, bass, drums and vocals, Fleshgod Apocalypse combine growling and clean vocals while adding piano and operatic vocals. What they create is metal with a lot of depth and variety in their songs.
This was my first time seeing Fleshgod Apocalypse live, and I have to say I was pretty impressed! Since they were an opening act on the tour, they didn’t get to play for too long, but I will be catching them again next time they come through Chicago (hopefully as a headlining act)!
