Dawn Of Ashes: “Daemonolatry Gnosis” Album Review

Wowza! I always enjoy a new surprise to be found in my inbox, and Brother Jamie Lee did not disappoint King Rhino this week. He laid upon me the seventh and newest album from Dawn of Ashes, Daemonolatry Gnosis. If you dig Dimmu Borgir, Watain, or Cradle of Filth, you will totally rattle the brainpan inside your skull-thingy headbanging to this album.

This is some of the best symphonic black/death metal I have heard in awhile. The [roduction is totally Class A stuff. If you didn’t know any better, you would think that this band had a major budget behind them to churn out a decimator like Daemonolatry Gnosis. This is a totally solid piece of work from beginning until end. Given the proper money, I could see Dawn of Ashes being a spitfire onstage with a ridiculous stage and light show.

I’m not going to single out any individual tracks since Daemonolatry Gnosis needs to be enjoyed and embraced as a whole piece of work. All I can say is, add this to your library.

Daemonolatry Gnosis is out June 9 on Metropolis Records. Buy it here!
