Chicago Open Air Announces 2019 Lineup Featuring System Of A Down, Gojira, Meshuggah and More

It has been an active week in metal news, with some of the most positive (depending on who you ask) coming from Danny Wimmer Presents about the lineup for the 2019 Chicago Open Air Festival.

The second installment of the festival will take place May 18 and 19 at Seatgeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. The inaugural event took place in 2017 and was followed by a year off.

Chicago Open Air will present two days of epic rock featuring System of a Down, Tool, Ghost, The Prodigy, Gojira, Meshuggah, Vein, The Black Dahlia Murder, Knocked Loose, Code Orange, Fever 333, and more.

The interweb has been in a stew, though, proclaiming the lineup weak, among other things. If you ask us, we are jazzed for Gojira, Meshuggah, Tool and The Black Dahlia Murder. We are also hoping that some additional announcements will come soon.

Tickets are on sale at the Chicago Open Air website here.
