Music Video: Behemoth Deliver “God=Dog” From Forthcoming Album

Behemoth could care less about what the mainstream thinks. It is in their appeal. By the looks of their new press push (Nergal in full crucifixion mode) and album cover, their new album title (I Loved You at Your Darkest), and new single, “God=Dog,” they’re about to deliver something special.

The band’s last album, The Satanist, took blackened death metal in blasphemous, triumphant new directions. And it furthered the blatantly sacrilegious tone that is the cornerstone of the Polish group. The ambivalent, self-assured delivery of these songs has been on full display in the States, with Behemoth’s supporting slot for Slayer, and is coming full-force to Europe and back to the U.S. for a headlining tour this fall.

“God=Dog” provides ornately detailed orchestration that ripples beneath the screams, shouts, and feedback. Throw in some children’s chant-along segments that undermine the purity of youth, and the impact is tangible.
