Back To The Boat: Dark Tranquillity Play “Misery’s Crown” On 70,000 Tons 2014

Many of you may be wondering why SkullsNBones has published so much over the last six months about 70,000 Tons of Metal. The short answer is that we are excited. Why? Because photographer Jason Carlson and I will be aboard the floating metal festival. Jason will be taking photos and he and I will be conducting interviews. We will also be reporting back each day on what we see, hear, and do (that is, until things pass the point of an “R” rating).

The band that I am most looking forward to seeing is Enslaved. Jason, on the other hand, has the legendary Dark Tranquillity at the top of his list. They played on the cruise in 2014, and they will return with two sets over the four day cruise. In today’s installment of Back to the Boat, we revisit their performance of “Misery’s Crown” from that 2014 journey.
