Alestorm: “Live In Tilburg” Album Review

Alestorm: “Live In Tilburg” Album Review

Since time immemorial, many of us have been fascinated and entertained by the pirate character. From the novel Treasure Island to the movie series Pirates of the Caribbean to an increasing influx of pirate metal, we are captivated by their wild debauchery.

Alestorm, known as the world’s favorite pirate metal drinking crew, have recently released Live in Tilburg just in time for a summer full of brews. You’ve heard these rounds before if you are indeed already a fan. From the infamous fun of “Mexico” to the sing-along party of “The Sunk’n Norwegian” to the classic, cantankerous finale of “Fucked With an Anchor,” this album fully captures the rowdiness of Alestorm and their jovial interaction with their landlubber fans.

I can tell you from experience that if you have a chance to attend an Alestorm performance, get your pirate costume out and join in the merrymaking. You will be in for a most amusing night. Until then, turn Live in Tilburg up and pillage a bit.

Live in Tilburg is out now on Napalm Records. Buy it here!
