Nasty nasty riffs, lightning fast drums, and attacking vocals make this one of my favorites of the year. It makes me want to just smack somebody and get a lapdance.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8t8g8lU4ms”]

[/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]
Cult Leader – Lightless Walk
[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]With a tumultuous dance between space, breath and pummeling, every single track on this album is killer. It comes out swinging full force, knocks you out, and tucks you in to bed at the end. Excellent record.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUMhIZdRLaU”]

It simply does not disappoint. [/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]
Karyn Crisis’ Gospel of the Witches – Salem’s Wounds
[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]Laced in heavy spiritual juju, Karyn's lyrical and vocal performance are captivating, and bring chills with each listen. Featuring some of my favorite musicians, this is a beautiful, introspective, dark, dirty and magikal album that hits on some really deep subject matter. The weight of it is palpable. Light a candle and let her in.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2piIXVm8Z5Y”]

[/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]
Prayers – Young Gods
[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]No, it is not heavy metal, but with lyrics like: "Divide the divine into a cup. Drink of my flesh, blood to get in. If there's no one left to hate I'll come back to you," this cholo-goth band combines some of the darkest, most violent lyrics over the sweetest electronic canvas making the overall mood exceptionally disturbing and unsettling. Really like nothing else I've heard in a long time. It's worth an open-minded listen, especially if you're pissed off. I love it. I hate it. I don't understand it, but they understand me. The Blackest of black-hearted music. Ice cold.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpVcBrD7dRw”]

With lush and beautifully orchestrated arrangements, paired with relentless screams, I am transported through a cold and ethereal epicness. Haunting and Beautiful.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J8sDJszO2M”]

[/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]
Vattnet Viskar – Settler
[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]This personal, explorative album features some of the band's best songwriting to date. There is a polished perfection to the production, with this thread of uneasiness deep in the undercurrent throughout the entire album. Intense and filled with exquisite melodies. Sticky and melancholy.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrFxKXtkPfw”]

[/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]
Vastum – Hole Below
[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]This album has not left my rotation since it's release. The vocals are ghostly and powerful, the riffs are sexy and delicious, and honestly, it makes me nauseous. It's got that sickening evil in it that feels timeless. Old school at its finest.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6VqRGFN5vs”]

[/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]
White Widows Pact – True Will
[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code admin_label=”Code”]This album is just ridiculously good. It's all the things that we love about metal and hardcore perfectly fused. Passionate. Tight. Adult yet screamably scream-along tough through and through. This album makes me finger point, play air drums and sing in the street like a kid, and I don't care. I love it.[/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_video admin_label=”Video” src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW5yWfOdfPQ”]
