AC/DC have announced plans for their new album, as well as an update on the status of guitarist Malcolm Young, who as we reported last month was taking a break due to health issues. The band have announced some updates on the band’s future via their official website

They are currently finishing up their new album titled “Rock or Bust” which will be released this December and are planning an extensive tour in 2015.  “Rock or Bust” will contain 11 new tracks, including a song called “Play Ball” which will be used as part of  the TBS Major League Baseball post season campaign starting, September 27th and running throughout the American League playoffs.

Sadly, guitarist Malcolm Young will not be returning to the band in any capacity due to his on-going health issues and will be replaced by his (and Angus’) nephew, Stevie Young, who also plays rhythm guitar on the new album. No details of Malcolm’s illness have been released.

We wish Malcolm, Angus, their families and the band well during this difficult time.  Stay tuned for updates on Malcolm, the band and the upcoming tour here.
