News: 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise Begins Announcements, Survivors Everywhere Combust

While the metal world at large may not have noticed, there has been panic in the ranks of 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise fiends. Dubbed “Survivors,” those who have sailed on the cruise expected to begin hearing announcements for 2019 months ago (although those months have felt like years).

Today was like Christmas, however, and quickly following the publication of a new logo for the 2019 cruise, the announcements began, with Accept being the first act to be announced.

So far it has been an active day, and Eluveitie, Svbway to Sally, Vomitory, and Delain announced for this installment, which leaves Fort Lauderdale on January 31 and returns February 4. With 54 more bands slated to be announced, who is next?

This year’s 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise will depart on January 31 for Labadee, Haiti, with 3,000 fans and 60 bands who will each play twice. Believe us, it is worth the ride.
